IT Analyst - Pharmacy (Job Overview)
Schedule: 8AM-5PM | Hybrid

Key Responsibilities
- Configure, integrate, test, and maintain pharmacy automation systems and EHR applications.
- Support the implementation and optimization of pharmacy technology solutions to improve efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions for clinical and pharmacy systems.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to align workflows with system functionality.
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Train and support staff on pharmacy systems and EHR functionality.
- Document processes, configurations, and system changes.
- Participate in project planning and execution for technology initiatives.
- Facilitate project team meetings to bridge clinical and technical gaps in reporting and deliver informative, well-organized presentations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Five (5) years of clinical healthcare experience (inpatient or ambulatory setting).
- Three (3) years of pharmacy automation experience (i.e. medication dispensing systems & robotics)
- Previous experience with EHR systems and pharmacy platforms.
- Bachelor s Degree is preferred.
- Completion of approved technician training program with active Texas Board of Pharmacy License for Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and/or national certification (PTCB) is preferred.
- Associate degree in HIT, informatics, or related field is preferred.
- Previous experience with EPIC and PioneerRx.
- Previous project management experience.
- Previous experience developing and delivering technical training to adult learners.
- Familiarity with pharmacy automation systems (PioneerRx, NEXiA and PickPoint)
- Strong commitment to customer service and excellence in healthcare.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clinical and technical teams.
- Strong ability to learn and manage complex technical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and State/Federal laws governing medical services.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Basic knowledge of statistics and graphical representation principles.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize.
